Kurt Angle is on the phone talking about someone for the Women’s Royal Rumble and how they would be great even though they were not in the ring for a while.

Sheamus and Cesaro show up and they ask about their rematch. Sheamus says that Kurt is keeping Jason Jordan away from him. Cesaro says it smells like favoritism.

Kurt says they will have the opportunity to reclaim the tag titles at the Royal Rumble.

Sheamus likes that and he asks about tonight.

Kurt tells them to go to the ring so they can find competition.

Sheamus and Cesaro versus Titus O’Neil and Apollo Crews

Titus and Sheamus start things off and he avoids Titus for the lock up and he goes into the ropes to get into Titus’ head. Sheamus with a kick and side head lock. Titus with a forearm and running shoulder tackle. Crews tags in and he comes off the turnbuckles with a double sledge. Cesaro tags in and he connects with a European uppercut in the corner and another European uppercut. Crews with a forearm but Cesaro with a European uppercut and reverse chin lock. Crews with a drop kick and standing moonsault for a near fall. Crews goes for a suplex but Cesaro lands on his feet. Sheamus makes the tag and he goes over the top rope when Sheamus pulls down the ropes.

Crews holds his knee and Dana checks. Sheamus with a knee and he sends Crews into the ringside barrier. They return to the ring and Cesaro tags in and they make a wish. Cesaro with a punch and chin lock.

Sheamus distracts Titus and Cesaro with a clothesline to the back of the head and Sheamus with a knee on the apron. Sheamus tags in. Crews avoids Cesaro and he goes to the floor. Sheamus misses a Brogue Kick on Crews and he hits a moonsault onto Cesaro. Titus with a rollup for the three count.

Kurt Angle wishes everyone a Happy New Year. He says that 2018 will be even greater than 2017. In three weeks RAW will celebrate its 25th anniversary. Then talks about the Royal Rumble and that John Cena entered. He talks about the rules of the Royal Rumble, same rules apply for men and women. The winner gets his and her opportunity at a title shot at Wrestlemania.

The Bar’s music hits and they make their way to the ring. Sheamus says that they were robbed last week. “You look stupid” chant breaks. Cesaro says that they cannot stand favoritism. He gave his son a tag team title shot. What he did after the match was too much says Cesaro. They shows a clip of last week’s main event, with Kurt Angle applauding and hugging Jason Jordan. The Bar asked for a rematch tonight. Kurt Angle says that they will get their rematch when he says so.

Jason Jordan’s music hits and he comes out. Jason says that if he didn’t deserve an opportunity at the tag team titles, then why does he have the title? Jason says last week’s opportunity was based off his track record not his DNA. Seth and him earned the tag titles. They start arguing, then Kurt Angle makes a match right now. Seth Rollins comes out. Seth tells Jason that even though they are tag champions, he has a lot to learn about being a teammate. Seth explains that Jason was outnumbered right now. That needs to stop being so self-absorbed. Seth tells Jason that he will be in his corner tonight, but the way he sees it, he is out here tonight to watch him lose.

Jordan vs. Cesaro up next.

Cesaro w/ Sheamus vs Jason Jordan w/ Seth Rollins

Uppercut by Cesaro. Jason fights back with a drop kick and a cover, 1,2 and Cesaro kicks out. Jordan has Cesaro in the corner, Cesaro fights back with an uppercut again, and then again. Takedown by Cesaro and applies a sleeper hold. Jordan gets up and fights back. He picks Cesaro and runs into the corner with him. Sheamus gets up on the apron to distract Jason, this allowed Cesaro to attack Jason’s knee, while distracted. Cesaro continues to work on Jason’s left leg/knee. Both men are up and Jason clotheslines Cesaro and then back body drops him to the outside, while limping on his leg. On the outside, Cesaro attacks Jason’s leg again, then high fives Sheamus.

Cesaro still in control and we see Jason down on the outside. Cesaro throws him back in. Uppercut by Cesaro. Cesaro applies a half crab on Jordan. Both men are back up and Cesaro delivers a couple of uppercuts. Jason tries to fight back with a couple of belly to back suplexes. Jordan delivers a modified Perfect Plex and covers, 1,2 but Cesaro kicks out. Cesaro attacks the leg again, then Jason is down leaning on the second rope, and Sheamus hits him. Rollins takes out Sheamus on the outside. In the ring, Jordan delivers the belly-to-back neckbreaker for the win.

We go to Sheamus and Cesaro in the locker room. Cesaro says that Kurt should be more grateful for what they did. Sheamus says he is grateful for Cesaro and he has a gift for Cesaro. Cesaro opens the gift and it is a Dean Ambrose action figure with the missing arm. Cesaro has a gift for Sheamus. Sheamus opens the present and it is a Seth Rollins action figure. Sheamus is looking forward to breaking it the way he will break Seth later tonight. There is also a Jason Jordan action figure. Sheamus doesn’t want it and Cesaro says that Seth doesn’t want him as a tag team partner and Kurt does not want him as a son.

Sheamus and Cesaro versus Jason Jordan and Seth Rollins for the Tag Team Championships

Jordan and Sheamus start things off and Jordan with a waist lock take down and he gets a near fall. Sheamus with an elbow when they get into the ropes and Cesaro with a shot to Jordan. Rollins makes the blind tag and he hits a double cross body. Rollins with slingblade to Cesaro and then he hits a suicide dive.

We are back and Sheamus with a top wrist lock on Rollins. Sheamus turns it into a wrist lock and Cesaro kicks Rollins and they hit a double thrust kick into the corner for a near fall. We see footage from the commercial break when Sheamus clotheslined Rollins on the floor. We are back to live action and Cesaro with a reverse chin lock. Rollins gets Cesaro on his back so he can get to his corner but Cesaro with an Irish whip and Sheamus tags in and kicks Rollins. Sheamus with forearms across the chest but Rollins with an elbow and then he connects with punches.

Sheamus grabs the ankle to keep Rollins from making the tag. Cesaro tags in and he hits a leg drop off the turnbuckles for a near fall. Cesaro with a reverse chin lock. Sheamus tags in and they hit a double clothesline and Sheamus gets a near fall. Rollins is sent to the floor and Cesaro with a clothesline. Jordan attacks Cesaro but Sheamus and Cesaro send Jordan into the ringside barrier.

Sheamus with an Irish whip. Rollins escapes a uranage and hits a DDT. Rollins gets to his corner but Jordan is still down. Cesaro attacks Rollins from behind and then Sheamus hits a uranage back breaker for a near fall by Cesaro. Sheamus kicks Rollins and Cesaro gets a near fall. Sheamus tags in and Sheamus elevates Rollins for a rising European uppercut by Cesaro for a near fall.

Rollins with a boot to Cesaro and Jordan clotheslines Sheamus. Jordan returns to the corner and Cesaro grabs Rollins’ leg. Rollins kicks Cesaro away and Jordan tags in. Jordan with a clotheslines to Sheamus and a drop kick to remove Cesaro from the apron. Jordan runs Sheamus into the turnbuckles repeatedly and hits a running shoulder followed by an overhead belly-to-belly suplex for a near fall. Jordan knocks Cesaro off the apron and Sheamus with a rollup for a near fall followed by a clothesline. Sheamus with a back breaker and Cesaro with an elbow drop off the turnbuckles for a near fall.

Cesaro applies a sharpshooter on Jordan. Rollins pulls Sheamus off the apron. Cesaro with a knee to Rollins and he sends him to the floor. Jordan with an inside cradle for a near fall. Cesaro with punches to Jordan. Sheamus tags in and they hit a modified Doomsday Device. Cesaro catches Rollins coming off the turnbuckles. Rollins with a super kick to Cesaro and Sheamus kicks Rollins to the floor. Sheamus with a Cloverleaf and Jordan gets to the ropes.

Sheamus hits White Noise on Jordan and then misses a shoulder on Rollins and goes into the ring steps. Cesaro with a running European uppercut to Rollins against the ringside barrier. Jordan with an elevated neck breaker for the three count.

Sheamus with a kick and Irish whip. Jordan with elbows but Sheamus with a clothesline. Joe tags in and he punches Jordan. Cesaro tags in and he connects with European uppercuts. Sheamus tags in and he kicks Jordan. Sheamus gets a near fall. Cesaro tags in and he goes up top and connects with a boot to the chest. Cesaro gets a near fall. Cesaro gets between Jordan and his corner and Jordan with a belly-to-back suplex.

Rollins tags in and hits a springboard clothesline to Cesaro and he follows with slingblade. Cesaro with a rollup for a near fall. Rollins with a jumping thrust kick for a near fall. Cesaro with an elbow and then he sends Rollins to the apron. Rollins with a slingshot leg drop to teh back of the head. Rollins with a pescado and he gets back into the ring as we go to commercial.

We are back and Sheamus with a forearm and he works on the kidney area. Sheamus chokes Rollins in the ropes. Joe tags in and he connects with a forearm. Joe with knees and he jabs Rollins in the corner. Joe with a snap mare and a chin lock using Rollins arm to add more pressure to the hold. Rollins wtih a jaw breaker but Joe with a running back elbow for a near fall. Sheamus tags in and he gets Rollins up for a back breaker and Cesaro with an elbow drop for a near fall. Sheamus kicks Rollins from the apron and Cesaro gets a near fall. Sheamus tags back in and Rolilns tries to fight to his corner but Sheamus with a uranage back breaker.

Sheamus with a second uranage back breaker. Rollins escapes a third attempt and hits a DDT. Both men are down. Joe tags in and he stops Rollins from making the tag. Joe with an Irish whip followed by an elbow and enzuigiri in the corner. Jordan breaks up the cover and he is thrown to the floor by Sheamus and Cesaro. Sheamus tags in and he gets Rollins up for White Noise but Rollins counters with a sunset flip for a near fall. Sheamus misses a running shoulder into the corner and he hits the ring post.

Cesaro tags in and he slides in front of Rollins to pull him into the corner and prevent the tag. Rollins blocks a butterfly suplex but Cesaro keeps Rollins from powering his way to the corner. Cesaro with a knee and he sends Rollins to the floor. Joe and Sheamus attack Rollins and Ambrose and Jordan go after Sheamus and Joe. Sheamus is sent into the ring post while Jordan is sent into Yeatonville. Rollins with a back body drop to Cesaro on the floor. Ambrose sends Rollins into the ring and Ambrose gets on the apron to try to make the tag.

Cesaro kicks Ambrose off the apron but Rollins clotheslines Cesaro over the top rope and he sends Joe to the floor when Joe charges. Rollins with a suicide dive onto Joe, Cesaro, and Ambrose.

Rollins is rolled back into the ring and Sheamus with a Brogue Kick for the three count.

Dean is in the back and he is being checked out, but Sheamus, Cesaro, and Joe attack Dean and Seth. Joe tells Seth that he is never safe. Joe drops a case on top of Dean’s arm.

Welcome to WWE Monday Night Raw. Samoa Joe is in the ring and he says you have all heard of The Shield. One of the most dominant forces in the WWE. Men who beat down everyone in their path. When the Hounds of Justice smelled weakness, they pounce like rabid dogs. Joe says he has seen the Shield up close and he is not impressed. Joe says he is not impressed at the man whose leg he snapped on his first night, Seth Rollins. Joe says he is not impressed with the man who has done everything in his power to avoid him, the human cockroach Dean Ambrose. He is not impressed with the man he put to sleep time after time in the ring, Roman Reigns.

Joe says he has come out to finish what he started with Roman Reigns even though he is facing Dean Ambrose tonight. Joe says he does not want Roman to bring out his lap dogs, just Roman.

Seth and Dean are watching on the monitor and Seth tells Dean to get Roman.

Joe says he can understand the hesitation because he has been told that he is an intimidating figure. Do you remember when he threw you down and choked you out? Joe says he remembers it so well. If it wasn’t for that silly bastard Jason Jordan, he would have removed Roman from the planet. Joe says if it wasn’t for him, Seth and Dean would be tag team champions. They are not champions because of him and there is nothing you can do about it.

Joe tells Roman if he has a problem with what he says, come out. Joe says he does not need anyone. He does not need Sheamus and Cesaro. If it wasn’t for the Shield, you would be nothing. If you have a problem with that, feel free to come to the ring and prove him wrong.

Roman has joined Seth and Dean watching on the monitor and he says that he’s got it.

Roman’s music plays and he comes to the ring and he is alone.

Roman and Joe exchange punches and Roman with the advantage and he kicks Joe in the corner. Sheamus and Cesaro come through the crowd and Roman stops them but Joe is able to apply the Kokina Clutch. Rollins and Ambrose come out and while they fight on the floor, Joe continues to choke out Joe. Dean goes into the ring and Sheamus hits Dean from behind. Rollins tries to protect Roman but Joe and Sheamus attack Rollins. Sheamus and Cesaro hit a spike White Noise.

Joe with a uranage to Ambrose to put him next to his partners on the mat.

Roman Reigns versus Cesaro for the Intercontinental Title

Cesaro runs into an uppercut and then he kicks Cesaro and the challenger goes to the floor. Roman follows and Cesaro kicks him as he returns to the ring. Cesaro with Euroepan uppercuts but Roman with clotheslines and a flying clothesline. Reigns with NeverEnding Story in the clotheslines but Cesaro goes to the apron and drops the arm on the top rope. Cesaro with a boot but Roman with a boot of his own and then he clotheslines Cesaro over the top rope to the floor.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Cesaro with a key lock and then we see Cesaro hitting a drop kick to counter the Juggernaut Broad Jump drop kick and then he sends Roman into the ringside barrier during the Giant Swing. Cesaro with a short arm clothesline for a near fall. Cesaro with a wrist lock as he continues to work on the right arm. Roman gets back to his feet and he head butts Cesaro and kicks him. Reigns with a La Magistral for a near fall. Reigns tries for a back slide and he finally gets Cesaro over for a near fall. Cesaro misses a splash into the corner and Roman with a rollup for a near fall.

Cesaro rolls Reigns up and then works on the arm before applying a Fujiwara arm bar. Cesaro pulls Reigns into the center of the ring and he applies an arm bar. Reigns sends Cesaro into the turnbuckles and Reigns with a uranage and both men are down. Reigns with head butts and a punch that sends Cesaro into the bottom rope. Reigns with a Juggernaut broad jump drop kick and he gets a near fall.

Reigns sets for the Superman punch and Cesaro with a forearm to the injured arm and Cesaro with a Fujiwara arm bar into a crossface. Reigns with a Samoan drop for a near fall. Cesaro with a running European uppercut into the corner and then he sends Reigns shoulder first into the ring post. Cesaro charges at Roman and Roman gets a boot up to stop Cesaro. Roman with a Superman punch off the ring steps and he gets a near fall when they get back into the ring.

Reigns sets for the spear and he does the scream. Cesaro with boots and then Cesaro hits the pop up European uppercut for a near fall. Cesaro with a crossface. Reigns picks up Cesaro and gets him on his feet. Cesaro with a sunset flip into a power bomb but Reigns rolls through and hits a one arm sit out power bomb for a near fall. Cesaro punches Reigns and Reigns fires back with left hands. They go back and forth and Reigns goes to the right hand. Cesaro with an inside cradle for a near fall.

Cesaro argues with the referee and then he charges into the corner and hits a European uppercut. Cesaro with more strikes and the referee warns him. Cesaro sets for the Gotch Style Neutralizer but Reigns with a back body drop and a spear for the three count.

Seth Rollins ends up making his way out for tonight’s first match. Rollins hits the ring as Reigns waits in the ring. We go to commercial.

Back from the break and out comes RAW Tag Team Champion Cesaro. Cole noted that Dean Ambrose is not here tonight because he’s on his honeymoon with Renee Young and Sheamus is not here tonight because he’s taking his annual sabbatical back home in Ireland. Cesaro hits the ring and we see highlights from last week’s Ambrose vs. Sheamus match. The bell rings and Cesaro is still taking his gear off. Fans chant for Rollins as they get ready to go at it. They lock up and Cesaro takes control. Rollins tries to get some offense going but Cesaro shuts him down. Rollins takes Cesaro down and unloads on him.

They tangle up against the ropes and Cesaro tries for a cheapshot but it backfires while the referee is in between them. Rollins gets sent out to the floor and sells the fall. Cesaro stands tall in the ring as we go back to commercial.

Back from the break and Cesaro drops Rollins for a close 2 count. Cesaro keeps Rollins down and drives knees into him. Cesaro with more offense in the counter while Rollins is up top. Cesaro climbs up for a super gutwrench but Rollins fights back. They end up on the mat as Cesaro covers for a close 2 count after Cesaro catches a crossbody in mid-air and drives him over his knee with a backbreaker. Cesaro argues with the referee.

Cesaro keeps control and drops Rollins for another close 2 count. Cesaro keeps Rollins grounded now. Rollins fights up and out but Cesaro backdrops him for another pin attempt. Rollins ends up smacking Cesaro while trying to get up. Cesaro keeps up the attack. Rollins reverses and applies an abdominal stretch but Cesaro sends him to the mat again. Rollins turns it around in the corner and nails a Blockbuster. Rollins fights Cesaro off with kicks. Cesaro sends Rollins to the apron but Rollins nails a leg drop over the neck, sending Cesaro to the floor.

Rollins runs the ropes and nails a suicide dive, sending Cesaro back into the barrier. We go to commercial.

Back from the break and Rollins nails a Falcon Arrow for a close 2 count. We see how Cesaro rammed Rollins into the ring post during the break. Cesaro rolls Rollins up for a close 2 count after a thumb to the eye. Cesaro with the Cesaro Swing now. Cesaro goes for the Sharpshooter and drags him back into the middle of the ring when he tries for the bottom rope. Rollins crawls again and makes it, breaking the hold.

Cesaro mounts Rollins and unloads with right hands now. Cesaro shows frustration. Cesaro goes for the Neutralizer but Rollins counters. Cesaro rolls through but Rollins kicks him in the face for a 2 count. More back and forth now. Rollins blocks an uppercut and backslides Cesaro for a 2 count. Rollins blocks the springboard uppercut and nails a high knee to the face for the pin.

Winner: Seth Rollins

– After the match, Rollins stands tall as we go to replays. Charly Caruso enters the ring for post-match comments and asks if members of The Shield might be going in different directions. Rollins says hell no. He’s only riding solo tonight because Ambrose is on his honeymoon. Rollins says Reigns’ title reign won’t separate them, it will just bring The Shield closer. Rollins says Ambrose will be back next week but so will Sheamus. Rollins announces that they will invoke their rematch clause for next week and burn The Bar down. Rollins says The Shield will all be champions after next week, believe that.

Dean Ambrose vs. Sheamus

Back from the break and Reigns vs. Miz is confirmed. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins wait in the ring as RAW Tag Team Champions The Bar are out for singles action.

Sheamus and Ambrose go back & forth to start. Ambrose catches Sheamus off the ropes and takes him down by the arm. Sheamus fights up and out, beating on Ambrose against the ropes. Sheamus ends up keeping control and sending Ambrose to the floor as we go to commercial.

Back from the break and Ambrose looks to make a comeback but Sheamus powerbombs him for a 2 count. Sheamus keeps Ambrose grounded now and focuses on the elbow. Sheamus continues to dominate Ambrose as some fans chant “you look stupid” at him. Sheamus poses and talks some trash. Sheamus grabs Ambrose by his face and goes for a suplex but it’s countered. Ambrose decks Sheamus with an open-hand strike.

Ambrose looks to make a comeback again now. Ambrose decks Sheamus and sends him into the ring post. Cesaro comes over to check on Sheamus. Rollins cheers Ambrose on. Sheamus counters Dirty Deeds but Ambrose unloads with strikes. Ambrose with a knee to the gut and a pair of clotheslines. More back and forth now. Ambrose dodges a Brogue Kick, sending Sheamus to the floor. Ambrose runs the ropes and nails a suicide dive on Sheamus.

Cesaro ends up attacking Rollins from behind, allowing Sheamus to roll up a distracted Ambrose for a 2 count. More back and forth between the two now. Sheamus ends up hitting a super rolling senton for a close 2 count. Cesaro can’t believe it. The finish sees Rollins take down Cesaro on the floor and unload on him. Ambrose takes advantage and hits Dirty Deeds on Sheamus for the pin.

WWE Intercontinental Title Match: Roman Reigns vs. The Miz

Back from the break and out comes WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz for tonight’s main event. Roman Reigns is out next. We get formal ring introductions from JoJo.

The bell rings and Miz goes right to the floor to stall. Reigns ends up chasing Miz back into the ring and Miz tries for a cheap shot but Reigns floors him with a big right hand. Miz drops Reigns over the top and comes back in but has a Skull Crushing Finale blocked. Reigns with another big block before a sitdown powerbomb. Miz kicks out at 2. Miz rolls back to the floor for a breather as we return to commercial.

Back from the break and both go down after Reigns drops Miz with a suplex. They both get up and Reigns hits clotheslines. Reigns with another big clothesline. Reigns unloads with big shots in the corner as fans count along. Reigns runs the ropes and nails a boot to the face. Reigns readies for a spear but Miz gets up and retreats to the floor.

Miz kicks Reigns on the floor and drops him with a DDT. Miz returns to the ring as the referee counts Reigns out. Reigns makes it back in just in time. Miz drops Reigns for a close 2 count. Miz keeps Reigns grounded with a chinlock now.

Reigns fights up and out of the hold. Miz catches Reigns and hits the backbreaker neckbreaker combo for another close 2 count. Miz argues with the referee. Miz with a running shot against the ropes now. Reigns looks to make a comeback now. Miz moves out of the corner and Reigns misses. Miz with a pair of corner dropkicks now. Miz charges a third time but Reigns lifts him for a Samoan Drop. Miz blocks it and rolls Reigns up for a 2 count. Miz runs into a boot. More back and forth between the two.

Miz charges in the corner but Reigns moves again. Miz ends up on the mat. Reigns regroups a bit. Miz keeps control and drops Reigns with another knee to the gut. Miz with the “yes!” kicks now. Reigns catches a kick and hits a Samoan Drop for a close 2 count. Reigns gets hyped up now as he waits for Miz. Miz blocks a Superman Punch but Reigns blocks the Skull Crushing Finale. Miz drops Reigns again with a knee and covers for a close 2 count. Reigns clutched his knee coming off the move.

Miz stomps on Reigns now. Miz with the boot to the throat as the referee warns him. Miz with a big running clothesline in the corner. Miz goes to the top but Reigns nails a Superman Punch to knock him out of mid-air. Reigns with a close 2 count. Reigns gets hyped up again as he waits for Miz. Sheamus and Cesaro run down but Reigns swings at them, missing on the apron. Miz comes from behind and nails the Skull Crushing Finale but Reigns kicks out right before the 3 count. Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose run down now to take out The Bar at ringside.

Miz and Reigns are both slow to get up. Miz turns around to a spear from Reigns. Reigns covers for the pin and the title.
