AEW Trios Championships
The Death Riders (c) vs. The Undisputed Kingdom

A vignette airs showing the rivalry between Ricochet and Swerve Strickland, with Strickland speaking up to Prince Nana for suggesting he forget other issues and focus on Jon Moxley and regaining the AEW World Championship that belongs around his waist.

Once the package wraps up, we return inside the arena where The Undisputed Kingdom make their way out to the tune of Adam Cole’s theme music. The crowd gives them a big reaction coming out as Excalibur talks on commentary about how things led to this upcoming showdown for the AEW Trios Championship.

After they settle into the ring, their music dies down and the theme for The Death Riders trio hits. Out through the crowd comes the reigning, defending AEW Trios Championship team of PAC, Wheeler Yuta and Claudio Castagnoli. Footage is shown of their recent brawl with The Undisputed Kingdom.

The bell sounds and we’re officially off-and-running with this high stakes title tilt in our second match of the evening. As soon as it does, all six men begin brawling on the floor. Excalibur points out things are picking up where they left off this past Saturday on AEW Collision.

The show heads into a mid-match commercial break with everyone still brawling at ringside. When the show returns, Castagnoli is beating down O’Reilly. They each tag out and after some more back-and-forth action, Strong rolls up Yuta, but he kicks out. Yuta then drop kicks Strong as he gets up.

Yuta covers Strong, but he kicks out at two. Strong takes down Yuta with a clothesline, Cole is tagged in. He clothesline’s Yuta and then pump kicks him as he gets up. Cole then hits Yuta with a neck breaker. Strong takes down O’Reilly with a big knee on the floor.

Cole then superkicks PAC who is now legal. Cole pump kicks Claudio who comes in. All three kick PAC as Strong cover PAC, but Claudio breaks up the pin. Yuta goes up to the top as Claudio launches him, but Strong get knees up. O’Reilly gets near falls on Yuta. O’Reilly has an ankle lock on Yuta.

Claudio gets a chair as he is then sent to the floor but Cole and Strong, as the ref has his back turned dealing with the chair, Yuta low-blows O’Reilly and rolls him up for the win. Once the match wraps up, The Death Riders continue the beat down.

Daniel Garcia’s music hits as the TNT champion Daniel Garcia and Team 2.0 duo Matt Menard and Angelo Parker hit the ring to chase of the Trios champs out of the ring. The post-match scene wraps up on that note.

Winners and STILL AEW Trios Champions: The Death Riders

Cope Calls Out Jon Moxley

It’s main event (segment) time!

On that note, the show heads into another commercial break. When the show returns, Cope’s theme hits and “The Rated-R Superstar” comes out along with Jay White. He has Jon Moxley’s briefcase still and heads into the ring with it along with “Switchblade,” as Excalibur promotes their tag-team tilt against Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli.

Cope talks about Mox’s briefcase having the AEW World Championship in it for he doesn’t know how many months now. He asks if anybody wants to see it. He says he has an idea. He heads under the ring and pulls out a case. He says it’s his old pal Spike, who is hungry. He says if Mox doesn’t come out and give him his answer now he’s gonna smash the case and take it.

Mox comes out and asks if Cope thinks he doesn’t care about the title. Cope says he knows he doesn’t. Mox gets offended and loses his cool, saying he’s left pieces of himself in the ring over that title. He says he’s gonna do something now he doesn’t want to, but he’ll show him how much he cares.

Mox says at Grand Slam: Australia he’s gonna break Cope’s neck. He tells him if he wants his shot at the title, he’s gonna get it. He accepts and their fight for the title at AEW Revolution is on. Cope says he’s gonna show everyone how much he cares about it and begins beating on the briefcase with Spike. The Death Riders hit the ring but White keeps taking them out one-by-one.

Eventually Marina Shafir slides in and takes the briefcase and slides back out while they’re fighting. The numbers becomes too much for Cope and White and Mox and his crew end up taking them out, until White fights back. He turns around to see Mox holding Spike.

Cope runs past White and spears Mox before he can do anything. White says he’s got Revolution set, but before he gets there, he and Cope are putting Mox and The Death Riders in the ground this weekend at Grand Slam: Australia.

Jon Moxley vs. Dax Harwood

Now we hear the familiar sounds of “Wild Thing” as Jon Moxley makes his custom entrance through the crowd and to the ring for our opening match of this week’s show. As he settles in the ring, we see highlights from Collision of the BCC and FTR brawl.

From there, the Midnight Express-sounding entrance tune brings out FTR to a big pop. Cash Wheeler wishes Dax Harwood good luck and heads back to the backstage area as Harwood makes his way down and settles inside the squared circle.

The bell sounds and we’re officially off-and-running with this one. A dueling “Let’s go Moxley” and “FTR!” chant breaks out as the two circle each other and eventually lock up. Harwood backs Mox into the corner. Mox, circles, backs out and flips Dax the double birds.

Mox backs Dax into the corner and gives him a big Valentine’s Day smooch before backing off and giving him a cocky clean break. He then puts his hands behind his back and welcomes open shots from Dax, who happily obliges as the crowd explodes.

After some more back-and-forth action, Mox bites Harwood on the top of his chrome dome in the corner. The two trade a million chops and then Mox looks for the Bulldog Choke. Dax avoids it but gets clotheslined over the top-rope and out to the floor.

On the floor, Mox sends Dax into the ring post. Back in the ring, we see Harwood send Moxley sailing over the top rope, where he crashes and burns back out on the floor as we head into a mid-match commercial break as our opening contest continues.

When we return from the break, we see Mox working over Harwood in the ring as the fans chant “Moxley! Moxley!” Mox kicks out of a pile driver attempt from Dax and then hits a Seth Rollins-style Stomp before following up with a pile driver of his own for a close two count.

Mox ends up getting the choke for the win. After the match, he doesn’t let go of the bell. This leads to Cash Wheeler running down and beating the crap out of Mox until Claudio Castagnoli runs down and takes him out. The fans chant “BCC! BCC!” and then Mox slaps the choke back on Dax.

Winner: Jon Moxley

Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson & Claudio Castagnoli vs. Volador Jr., Hechicero & Mascara Dorada

Backstage, Orange Cassidy is interviewed with The Best Friends standing behind him. Renee Paquette asks him about his upcoming AEW International Championship defense against Tomohiro Ishii. She also mentions him having a match 24 hours before the Collision title defense, as he’ll also be in action on Friday’s Rampage.

We head to another commercial break after the backstage interview wraps up. When we return, “Wild Thing” plays and out comes the Blackpool Combat Club trio of Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli. The three make their custom ring entrance through the crowd and head to the ring to a loud pop from the Phoenix fans.

Out next are their opponents, the trio from CMLL consisting of Volador Jr., Hechicero and Mascara Dorada. The six men are all in the ring and ready to rock and roll. The bell sounds and we’re officially off-and-running with this one. Kicking things off for their respective teams are Danielson and Hechicero. The commentators talk about their recent match on AEW Collision.

Hechicero takes Danielson down, but Danielson comes back and takes Hechicero down. Hechicero counters out and goes for a bow-and-arrow submission, but Danielson gets free. They shove each other away, and then Hechicero drops Danielson with a shoulder tackle. Hechicero applies a crucifix hold and rolls around the ring with him.

Now we see Hechicero go for the cover, but Danielson kicks out at the count of two. Castagnoli and Dorada tag in and Dorada delivers a chop. Dorada delivers more chops, and then stomps on Castagnoli’s foot. Castagnoli comes back and takes Dorada down. Dorada comes back with a hurricanrana, and then Moxley and Volador tag in.

They exchange elbow strikes and Volador takes Moxley down with a hurricanrana. Volador sends Moxley into the barricade with a dive through the ropes, but then Castagnoli and Danielson attack Volador on the floor. Hechicero and Dorada make the save, and then Moxley gets Volador back into the ring.

Volador goes after Moxley, but Moxley sends him to the floor and takes him out with a dive. Hechicero and Dorada attack Moxley this time, but then Castagnoli and Danielson make the save. The referee separates everyone as the show heads to a commercial. When we return, we see Mox dominating the offense in the ring.

Things build to a spot with Mascara Dorado hitting a Shooting Star Press off the top-rope to a giant pile of bodies on the floor. The fans react with a loud “This is Awesome!” chant as Danielson and Hechicero go back to work as the legal men in the ring. After some more back-and-forth action, we see Castagnoli pick up the win for the BCC in an excellent match. We head to another break.

Winners: Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson & Claudio Castagnoli

AEW Dynamite: Homecoming Results – January 10, 2024

Hangman Page vs. Claudio Castagnoli

Excalibur welcomes us to the show as the camera pans the home venue for AEW, Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, FL. The theme for Hangman Page hits and out comes the popular fan-favorite AEW original to a loud pop.

Hangman Page settles in the ring and his music dies down. The entrance tune for Claudio Castagnoli hits next and out comes his opponent from the Blackpool Combat Club. He makes his way into the ring and his music dies down.

The bell sounds and off we go with this week’s opening contest. Fans immediately break out in “Cowboy Sh*t! Cowboy Sh*t!” chants as Page takes it to Castagnoli straight out of the gate. The action spills out to the floor where Castagnoli starts to take over.

Castagnoli taunts the crowd as Page is down and out on the floor. Hangman gets in a shot and then brings Claudio back into the ring as fans rally behind him with loud “Let’s go Hangman!” chants.

He works over Claudio for another minute before the BCC member blatantly rakes the eyes to shift the offensive momentum back in his favor. After some more back-and-forth action over the next few minutes, Page sends Claudio to the floor.

The purveyor of “Cowboy Sh*t” then slingshots over the top and splashes onto him at ringside. He continues to beat him down on the floor and then stops to take a gulp of a ringside fans’ beer. Back in the ring, Claudio catches Page with a big counter shot.

As Castagnoli starts to take back over control of the offense, we shift gears and head into a mid-match commercial break as our opening contest continues.

When we return from the break, we see Page and Castagnoli duking it out on the floor at ringside until Page backs way up. He gets a full-head of steam running start and clotheslines Claudio back into the ring with authority.

He then looks for his Buckshot Lariat finisher, but Claudio counters by launching him in the air and catching him on the way down with a vicious European uppercut. He goes for the cover, but Page kicks out after the count of two.

The two end up on the floor again moments later, with Claudio catching Page in an impressive display of strength. He runs him into the barricade and post but then goes to the well one too many times, as Page counters in mid-sprint with a twist-around DDT to Claudio face-first on the floor.

Page follows that up with a big moonsault to Claudio on the floor. Fans loudly chant “AEW! AEW!” as Page brings Claudio back into the ring. Page hits a big tombstone pile driver on Claudio for a close near fall attempt. Claudio fights back and pummels Page with repeated forearms.

Claudio continues to bombard Page with forearm-after-forearm blow until he is slumped over in the corner of the ring. Page hits a big counter move seconds later. He goes for the cover, but Claudio kicks out just in time. Fans chant “AEW! AEW!” again as Page leaps into another uppercut from Claudio.

Both guys end up on the ropes in the corner. Claudio looks for a big avalanche power bomb off the top-rope, but Hangman counters in mid-move and hits a hurricanrana to bring Claudio off the ropes and back onto the mat. He hits his Buckshot Lariat finisher and then hits it a second time for the win in a great opener.

Winner: Hangman Page

The BCC head around the ring but are caught with a dive by Nick Jackson and Page, who follows up with a shooting star press off the apron onto Wheeler Yuta! Things finally settle as we come into the ring with Mox and Page, who tags in Matt Jackson…only for the Young Buck to get taken down hard by Mox!

Nick turns his focus to Claudio and this turns out to be a mistake as he’s sent down to the floor…but Page catches him with a lariat! Things start to break down again until Matt Jackson leaps off the top turnbuckle onto the BCC on the outside!

Matt looks to follow up but is caught by Yuta, as Mox gets Nick with a piledriver for a nearfall as we go to picture-in-picture!

Picture-in-Picture: Tag to Claudio as the BCC are now in control of the situation, with Nick being sent to the corner hard as Claudio goes to work on the former AEW tag champ. Tag to Yuta as he and Claudio keep on the attack, and Yuta goes to work on the legs of Nick before tagging Claudio back in, and the ROH World Champion goes after the head and neck in his offense against Nick before tagging in Mox…who takes a much more brutal approach, hitting a chop before sending Nick hard into the corner. Mox taunts the crowd as he continues the beatdown, dropping Nick with a suplex for a nearfall. Nick starts to fight back as we return!

Tag made to Claudio now, as the champ wears down Chuck Taylor before tagging in Mox. Mox and Taylor go at it as we see Trent going after Yuta on the outside, and BCC is cleared out of the ring before Trent, Chuck, and Rocky give the people what they want!

Picture-in-Picture: BCC are firmly in control here as tags are made a little frequently, all for the sake of keeping Taylor away from making a tag. Taylor tries to fight back but is overwhelmed by Claudio coming in, who locks in a tight chinlock on Chuck…until Taylor gets back to his feet, only to be brought back down to the canvas as Yuta tags in, keeping on top of Taylor as we come back from break!

AEW Rampage Fight for The Fallen Taping Results for 7/29/2022
* New ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli was interviewed by Tony Schiavone in the ring. Fans gave Claudio a standing ovation and chanted “you deserve it!” to start. Claudio thanked the fans in multiple languages, and said while he doubted himself at times, the fans never let him down and supported him as he fought to get where he wanted to be. Claudio brought out ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta but Chris Jericho, who was on commentary, interrupted and said he was sick of them. Jericho said a sports entertainer beats a pro wrestler every time. Yuta told Jericho to shut up, then reminded him of how he retained his title over Daniel Garcia. Yuta said he knows he can also beat Jericho. They had a back & forth on the mic until Jericho suggested they fight on Dynamite next week. Wheeler denied the challenge, and said he already knows he can beat Jericho. Jericho offered to put up his title shot against Interim AEW World Champion Jon Moxley on Wednesday, and said Yuta can have it if he beats Jericho. Yuta mocked Jericho and said that was easier than he expected, then agreed to the match
